We're getting some needed rain today.
This photograph of Cerro San Luis (commonly called Madonna Mountain; the property is owned by the Madonna family) is from the wikipedia article, illustrating the difference between our Spring and Fall months here in San Luis Obispo.
With few exceptions, SLO - like much of California - receives no measurable rainfall from mid-May to mid-November. All of our precipitation is during the late Fall to late Spring.
Right now we're pretty brown. Like the rest of California, our rain gas gauge is on empty.
Glad for the rain. Looking forward to more - and, God willing, greener pastures this Spring.
